Knights Battle But Fall Short

WILLIAMSPORT - Freshman Kaydance Meixel scored 11 second-half points and helped get the St. John Neumann girls varsity basketball team within striking distance, but the Knights fell to Sullivan County, 32-22, Friday night. It was the second straight game Meixel scored in double-figures after a career-high 16 in a win against Millville earlier in the week. She also added seven steals. Bre Nixon added nine points, six rebounds, and two steals, while Kallee Johnson posted 14 rebounds and six blocks for Neumann.

The Knights get back into action on Wednesday, Jan. 21, when they head to CMVT. Tip is set for 6 p.m.
