WILLIAMSPORT - Bre Nixon scored 17 first-half points, hitting four 3-pointers, and the St. John Neumann girls basketball team held a fourth-quarter lead, but South Williamsport rallied late as the Knights fell, 46-42, Wednesday night.

Nixon scored in double-figures for the fifth time in the last six games while Kaydance Meixel and Kallee Johnson each added seven points, with Johnson scoring five in the fourth quarter.

The Knights held a five-point second-quarter lead and held multiple second half leads, but struggled to score in the final quarter.

Neumann gets back into action on Friday, Jan. 30, when it heads to Muncy for a varsity doubleheader with the boys. Girls tip at 6 p.m.
